【Macau First Division League Data Analysis Briefing Report】

The Macau Football Association is pleased to announce the official release of the "2025 Macau First Division League Data Analysis Briefing Report", marking the first public disclosure of statistical insights from the First Division competition. Prepared by the Association's Technical Study Group, this report provides an in-depth analysis of all ten participating teams through key performance metrics including possession index, shooting efficiency, and forward pressing, revealing distinctive match behaviors between the Champion Group and Relegation Group.

This analytical work was spearheaded by AFC A-Licensed Coach Instructor Away Ng. Coach Ng currently serves as a Coach Instructor for the HKFA, alongside roles as a Talent Identification Coach and Technical Study Group member, complemented by his previous experience as match analyst for HKPL clubs and assistant coach for district teams.

Reflecting on the report, Coach Away Ng shared: "The completion of this match data report is the result of the collective efforts of our entire technical department team. We hope this initiative enhances public understanding of local football in Macau and serves as a guiding light for the development of both First Division clubs and the representative team."

Technical Department shares: "This year served as our pilot phase. During the first round, we primarily conducted team-level data collection. After the league split into groups in the second round, we simultaneously performed both team-level and individual player data collection, which presented a new challenge. After eight months of data gathering and analysis, we have provided reports to all ten First Division clubs and produced a public version to enhance community understanding of the Division's landscape. We look forward to continuing the data collection and analysis into 2026, providing practical recommendations for future development directions."

The briefing report is now available for public download. Football fans, media professionals, and all football enthusiasts are welcome to access and review the findings.
